A Regina nursing home says six people have tested positive for the virus that causes COVID-19.
Saskatchewan health officials declared an outbreak at the 62-bed Elmview home owned by Extendicare on Tuesday, with two cases reported at the time.
By Thursday, Extendicare confirmed the outbreak had grown to six cases: four residents and two workers.
An Adelaide man who broke into a young woman s home while she was sleeping and raped her will remain behind bars until at least 2032.
Michael Benfell was sentenced today for two counts of rape and one of aggravated serious criminal trespass over the April 2018 attack in Parkside.
The woman initially thought the 26-year-old â a complete stranger â was her partner, before raising the alarm.
Benfell received a maximum sentence of 15 years, 13 days imprisonment with a non-parole period of 12 years and 11 days, back-dated to begin from the time of his incarceration in December 2020.
In handing down the lengthy sentence, District Court Judge Paul Slattery said it was impossible to completely describe the terror, pain, humiliation or effect that has followed as a result of your actions .

A man who broke into a woman s Parkside home in Adelaide s inner-south and twice raped the woman in her bed in the most humiliating and egregious way will spend at least 12 years in jail.

Monroe County Commissioner Mike Forster will propose hiring a full-time parks and recreation director during the next commission meeting to better manage Harry Harris Park, a county-owned park with a swimming lagoon, pavilions, showers, a boat ramp, barbecue areas and sports facilities in Key Largo.
